Fusion's Web Forms Module enables useres to instantly deploy paper form designs to the web.
Organisations intent on realising the efficiencies of electronic forms are often reluctant to dispense with paper entirely. Indeed, there are often good reasons for working with both document formats. What they need is a hybrid system capable of processing paper and electronic versions of the same form design simultaneously, while applying the same rigorous business rules to each. Fusion’s Web Forms module enables users to instantly deploy paper form designs to the web.
Here’s a summary of the key benefits: -
The base form design is synchronised live with its Web Form equivalent so that design changes are immediately reflected in the published Web Form. Moreover, retrieval of respondents’ data from completed Web Forms is instantaneous, providing an up-to-date picture of the incoming results as they are received.
Just enter a pre-selected piece of data, respondent name for example, and have the form pre-populated with other information unique to that record. Not only does this save valuable time but also protects data integrity by relying on a single source for core static information. Alternatively, specified data values, unseen by the remote worker, can be attached to the record upon submission to the Formic database.
Web Forms are very easy to complete with dropdown picklists confining users to a pre-defined set of responses, eliminating invalid responses and speeding form completion. And should a user attempt to submit invalid data elsewhere, Web Forms provides the user with comprehensive feedback and prompts to encourage correct completion. Electronic receipts are returned as proof of submission.
Users can now partially complete a form, save it and then return to it at a later date, even from a different workstation. Lists of all partially completed forms are available for easy access to any authorised user.
With Web Forms, data is automatically validated at time of entry. The full business rules that decide whether a form is accepted or rejected are replicated in the Web Form – contributing to a significant increase in data accuracy and reliability. Eliminating the separate downstream validation stage associated with paper forms processing adds to the overall process efficiency.
All form design projects can be accessed via a management console and, at the click of a button, active projects can be published or withdrawn from publication. Security is now improved with the ability to restrict project access to specific groups of people via issuance of passwords. It’s even possible to restrict the number of times a form can be submitted at a global or user level – thereby preventing the results of surveys from being skewed by user error or even by intent.
Web Forms uses IIS with asp.net and will install on: Windows XP Professional (Service Pack 1 or 2),
Windows 2000 (Service Pack 2), Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2000.
Intel Pentium IV 1.4 GHz processor, 1 GB of RAM, 2 GB of available hard disk space, CD-ROM or DVD drive.
