Scanning Devices
When capturing data from paper documents, Fusion requires good clean group 4 TIFF images of the original to offer maximum processing performance. Local and production scanners offer the most dedicated imaging options.
For organisations with high volumes of documents in different locations a dedicated production scanner would be recommended at each site. Manufacturers of scanning hardware supplied and supported by Formic include:
Fusion can be linked to most TWAiN and ISIS compatible network scanning devices. Please contact Formic for a more comprehensive listing of compatible scanning solutions.
Fax MachinesFax is a viable option for organisations with a requirement for distributed capture of documents that are not data rich. Fusion will work with any enterprise fax application that is able to output single page images into a network folder. Given fax offers lower image resolution and quality, this may lead to lower automatic processing performance.
